Next Release: Gresley 32’ Milk van in 10mm.

21st January. I am now working on the kit again and I hope to have more positive news in early February. One of the delays was the resin supplier I had used sent me a batch of out of date stock which caused no end of problems working out why the resin wouldn’t cure. Will the van be available in 1/32 scale?

There’s been a lot of interest in the kit being made available in 1/32. Providing the 10mm version generates at least 20 sales then I will be able to consider both this kit and the pigeon van as future developments in 1/32.

Price: The guide price I’ve been quoting of £150 is looking overly optimistic. Adding up the cost of components I’m now looking at about £170. The cost will include:

Royal Mail special delivery, 22 thou brass kit,  Sprung buffers, brass vac pipes, 3 link couplings, Torpedo vents, vacuum cylinder, dynamo, sprung axle boxes, wheels & bearings. The components will be a mix of 3rd party supplied, Nylon computer printed and resin moulded.

The first production run will be for 6 vehicles unless there is demand for more. If you want to reserve one of the first vehicles, please click the £5 registration button above. This will be fully refundable if you change your mind before I order the brass. I will ask for a further £45 deposit at that stage - sorry but compared to the cost of scale drawings this kit is a major up front cost and future production runs will take at least 3 weeks after the last batch sells out.

Kit includes variations for the 39 Stratford built vehicles (1928/29) and 20 York built vehicles (1929/30).
