4mm kit 296 : 46' 6" ECJS Cowlairs clerestory luggage brake van diagrams 36 & 42 (1909 book, earlier diags 30A 33 respectively) Diagram 36 was built in 1903, diagram 42 in 1901. 1 carriage remained in general service as late as 1951.
The main difference between the 2 diagrams is that diagram 36 had a corridor connector at both ends. On diagram 42, the door at one end was sealed with steps for roof access. This kit covers both options
