Starter Kits
What's in a starter kit?
I've picked these for you as they're a smaller model than a bogied carriage. Either 4 or 6 wheeled, w-irons are included. You'll still need to supply adhesives, paints, wheels and bearings.
Each kit contains 2 sides, 2 ends, a roof and floor. Buffers, roof vents, brake cylinders, battery boxes and steps are all included as appropriate for that kit. Construction is straight forward, leaving you to focus on detailing and weathering.
You get a detailed drawing as a guide , with a potted history of the class in service.
With no large windows, you can choose to glaze with plasticard or a clear setting formula such as "Glue 'n' Glaze"
As always, I'll supply a follow up service if you need spares or advice.
The price is also much lower than carriages, making these kits an easier intro into building and painting your own rolling stock.
